This notice applies to the website hardhathoodie.com. Peekami and Sitepit have their own privacy notices on their respective websites.

The website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. EU privacy contact: Cloudflare Portugal, Unipessoal Lda., Largo Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro 29, 1200-369 Lisbon, Portugal. Cloudflare processes technical access data on our behalf for each request: IP address, time, requested address, status code, browser identifier, referrer and error messages. Requests are processed at the nearest data centre; requests from Europe are generally processed within the EU.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering a secure and reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare automatically deletes log data after a short period; we do not store an additional copy and only consult it when resolving faults. Our cooperation is based on the Cloudflare Data Processing Addendum (Article 28 GDPR). Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the EU Standard Contractual Clauses also apply. Further information: Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Language and appearance

When you open an address without a language prefix, we use the country code supplied by Cloudflare for that request: Germany, Austria and Switzerland receive German; other or unknown countries receive English. We do not request your device’s precise location or store the country code ourselves. The DE/EN links let you select either language at any time. The language stays in the URL; we do not set a language cookie. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing visitors a suitable language (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you use the switch at the top to change between light and dark appearance, your browser stores this choice in your device’s local storage (entry “hhh-mode” with the value “light” or “dark”). The entry is read on your next visit, is not sent to us or any third party and does not identify you. It remains until you clear this website’s data in your browser. Storing it is strictly necessary to keep the appearance you explicitly chose (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). Nothing is stored unless you click the switch.

Fonts

This website’s fonts are served together with the page by our hosting provider. Opening the website does not connect to Google Fonts or any other font provider.

Contact by email, phone or post

If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is taking steps towards or performing a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in responding (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you call or write to us by post, we process the contact details you provide and your enquiry for the same purposes and on the same legal bases. Contacting us is voluntary and is not required by law or contract. However, we cannot respond without contact details. Our phone number and postal address are in the legal notice.

Our email provider is Fastmail Pty Ltd, PO Box 234, Collins Street West, VIC 8007, Australia. Fastmail processes email content and contact data to provide its email service under its Data Protection Agreement. Data may also be processed outside the EU, particularly in Australia and the USA. Fastmail uses EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EU. Further information: Fastmail’s privacy policy.

Messages are deleted once the enquiry has been resolved, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

For any of these requests, email hallo@hardhathoodie.com. We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling (Article 22 GDPR).

Right to object under Article 21 GDPR

Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. An informal email to hallo@hardhathoodie.com is sufficient.
